The Kef Q300 speakers are very compact, versatile and can be used for main speakers, music speakers, rear speakers or even for that multi room set up so will cater for everyone’s taste. This new range makes use of up to date technology and the basis of the Kef Q300 is the way the Uni-Q drivers are arranged. The KEF Uni-Q concept is based around the idea of rather than using two separately mounted drivers to produce the required frequencies, with the Kef Uni-Q technology, both of the drivers i.e. tweeter and midrange are combined into one.
The KEF Q300 comprises of a 165mm mid range driver which is made from formed aluminium and has been specially designed so that at the lower frequencies the drive unit delivers a noticeably faster, cleaner response. The aluminium chassis prevents unwanted resonance and a large 50mm voice coil ensures impressive power handling. Bass is now deeper, tighter and more accurate.
This has then been combined with the 25mm high frequency dome tweeter which is made from aluminum. New features of the Q series tweeter includes efficiency and dispersion of the tweeter at the very highest frequencies and the motor system of the tweeter has been computer designed and now has vented technology taken from the reference series to extend the high frequency response, enhancing your listening pleasure. With this design of speaker, the Kef Q300 therefore allows you to hear the music in the way that the artist intended you to and with a new enclosure design this allows more volume than previous Kef speakers and for those of you who will use the Q300 for movies this will enhance the realism of the sound and your enjoyment.
The technology in the Q300 allows you to listen to the speakers from anywhere in the room and still get the same 3 dimensional sound image and will ensure that you will no longer have to sit in a particular place in the room what we usually call the sweet spot in order to get the best sound.
Rated at 107db these are not power hungry speakers so will be compatible with most peoples existing components, only needing an amplifier from 10-110w.
The Kef Q300 are very affordable for the sound quality that is produced from these speakers as they are very easy on the pocket yet still sound like you would expect from a more expensive set of speakers.
